Calanais Border Collies is owned by Luke Schneider and Katie Dennis of Adelaide, South Australia.

Our first litter was born in 2004, but we started showing our first Border Collie, Dual Champion (A) Beladele Random Heart ADM JDM ADO JDO GDM SDM SPDM CD ET, in early 2002. Since then, we have enjoyed much success - All Breeds Runner-Up Best In Show, multiple Best In Group/Runner-Up Best in Group, Class in Group/Show awards, and Royal Show Best of Breed wins.

Calanais dogs have also excelled in the performance arenas - National and Runner-Up National Agility Champions, State Agility and Obedience Champions, Royal Show Agility, Jumping and Obedience winners, Multiple SACA Agility Award winners, and one Obedience Champion so far.

We aim to breed Border Collies that conform to the breed standard, as we interpret it. We use DNA testing where necessary to avoid the genetic diseases that can affect the Border Collie and also hip and elbow score our breeding animals; only breeding from animals with acceptable scores.
