“Individual’s play the game, but teams beat the odds.”
Two times National Champion!
Six years of winning at the Royal Adelaide Show!
Bailey was my first Border Collie. His litter was not registered, and therefore he is just “Bailey”. However, this doesn’t matter, as he has been a once in a lifetime dog. Bailey has allowed me to fulfil all of my Agility and Jumping goals, and has been a record smashing dog.
Bailey dominated South Australia’s Agility and Jumping competitions for a number of years, and while now retired to a life of luxury, enjoyed successes that are hard to overlook.
Bailey was the South Australian Canine Association’s (S.A.C.A.) Top Agility Dog of the Year 2002, 2003, 2004, and the 2003 Top Jumping Dog of the Year. He has won a record breaking 13 S.A.C.A. Top Dog Awards throughout his career. Bailey has also won State Championships, and Teams events, being a member of the first South Australian team to win the Uncle Ben’s Interstate Agility Team’s Challenge in 2004.
Bailey represented SA twice at this event – in Wollongong, N.S.W., in 2001, and in Adelaide, S.A., 2004. Bailey also represented S.A. in two National Teams Events, held in conjunction with the Australian National Agility and Jumping Titles in Melbourne, 2003 & in the A.C.T., 2004.
Bailey has won competitions around Australia, in N.S.W, Victoria, and the A.C.T. He also qualified and placed highly in several events in W.A., at the 2005 National Titles.
Another achievement of which I am proud, is Bailey’s streak of wins at the Royal Adelaide Show. At just 7 years and 8 months, Bailey won his SIXTH consecutive year at the Royal Show. He has won at least one event, if not two, at every Royal since 2000. The Royal is never an easy event, and it has become one of my favourites.
Bailey also won the Top Open and Top Masters Agility Dog over the weekend at the inaugural PEDIGREE Autumn International Festival, 2005, winning for himself, two new televisions!
Finally, Bailey made history, being the first dog to ever win TWO National Agility Titles. Bailey won both the Open and Masters Agility National Finals in Canberra, A.C.T., in 2004. To me, this completed Bailey’s Agility and Jumping career!
Bailey enjoys his daily runs in the park, and has even turned his paw to herding, which he loves!
